Talib Kweli collaborates with Internet rap gods Curren$y and Kendrick Lamar for this soulful joint “Push Thru.” The song, which is the first single on Talib’s Prisoner of Consciousness, was produced by Symbolyc One, who has also produced jams for both Kanye West & Beyonce.
This joint features all of the emcees, in their respective worlds, spitting about overcoming obstacles — whether it’s independence in today’s rap industry, international politics, or uneven opportunity in innercity America.
Look forward to Talib’s Prisoner of Consciousness in October, and listen to “Push Thru” below.
