While there may have never been a time when Jay-Z and Freeway were considered equals, there was at least a period when the distance between their statures wasn’t so…well, gaping. Fly back to the early 2000’s, and you’ll witness a time when the Philly Freezer and Jay were trading bars and Roc-a-Fella Records was thriving. Now? Jay-Z is a bonafide legend who can cause a media frenzy just by announcing a press conference, and Freeway, while still putting out good music, has faded into the background.
But damn, Hov. You’re going to hold a press conference in Freeway’s hometown, invite him up on stage, and then do him like that? Freeway’s face looks like his mom just told him to finish his peas or he won’t get a creamsicle. As Jigga himself once said, you crazy for this one!
