Mannie Fresh is arguably the best hip-hop producer of all time. His production discography list, which dates back to 1987, is immense mainly due to his work with Cash Money Records. Birdman graces the cover of the latest issue of RESPECT Magazine, and for as big a mogul as Birdman has become, a lot of his initial success is a result of Mannie Fresh’s musical prowess. From 1993 ’til 2004, Mannie Fresh produced the vast majority of every album coming out of the Cash Money camp. He is still broadening that list today with his most recent work being T.I.‘s “The One” from the mixtape F**k the City Up in 2011. The biggest hit Mannie Fresh produced is also another record by the self proclaimed King of the South with “Big S**t Poppin (Do It)” making it to number nine on the Hot 100 Billboard Chart in the United States. Mannie Fresh’s musical talents are a staple in hip-hop history, and the future is still bright for the New Orleans native.
