The record collection of legendary crate digger J Dilla was recently found by Jeff Bubeck, the owner of Royal Oak, Michigan record store UHF. Bubeck says that the records were found in an abandoned storage locker earlier this month.
According to The Detroit News, Bubeck also found
… a box of cassette tapes, labeled in black marker as “Jaydee Beats.” There were also lyric booklets, along with magazines and pieces of junk mail addressed to James Yancey, as well as to his parents, Beverly and Maureen Yancey.
That has to be the find of a lifetime for the record store owner.
