Some of us are lucky enough to live in NYC and be exposed to a consistent stream of art, music, and culture, being able to chose from a wide range of different forms of the such entertainment. For those who aren’t, well *shrugs*, sucks for you, bro. Mic Check Wednesdays is a talent showcase which features emcees, singers, comedians, poets, and musicians and is co-hosted by Hot 97’s own DJ Spynfo. Last night’s event featured some very dope emcees and singers, inspiring poets, and utterly hilarious comedians, amongst others. The vibe was quite cool at East Village bar Drom, reminiscent of an old underground Jazz club, packing in a full house and bustling with energy.
