Often a rarity, a song that is both commercially appealing and actually good, gets visual identity as Wale releases the music video for Lotus Flower Bomb off of his highly successful sophomore LP Ambition. If you’re up on things, or a hint was provided to you by some internet entity not to be named, you’d recognize that the beginning of the video features a play on this scene from Poetic Justice, with Wale as Tupac and Bre Scullark as Janet, although they should have synced the camera angles… step your game up (not you Wale, everyone who’s not up on things.
