In the words of Ab-Soul, “Bet yall didnt know Q was that deep.” Looks like TDE boot camp is in full effect. Schoolboy Q is moving from the fringes of Top Dawg to become one of its highlight members. After a heavy tour schedule, endless video shoots and a lot of parties Q was put on time out until he finished his upcoming project, HABITS & Contradictions. There’s no country for loungers on TDE and now we get to reap the benefits. While Setbacks definitely got overlooked with the debut of Section.80, it showed promise with its slick production and stories of a bud smoking gangster turned bud smoking philosopher. Looks like Q decided to keep building his philosophy with “Sacrilegious.” With talks of shuffling friends, failed promises and unforgivable sins Schoolboy gives us his conflicted thoughts as he tries to wash away his vice. The visuals were done by JeromeD and convey the dark contradictions of a paranoid rapper. I need Him in my life too Q.
