Honestly glad to hear this little interview, one reason being that DJ Premier is a hip-hop legend and one of the best producers ever, that goes without saying. But the seemingly more apparent “Thank You Based God, Phew, Wipes Sweat off of Forehead” moment was hearing Premo denied Justin Bieber from partaking in BET’s cyphers this year, because if young Beebz would have, the rap gods would have struck down upon us with great vengeance and furious anger. Any way you look at it, it would be blasphemous for him to be involved in something that is supposed to be representing and paying homage to freestyle cyphers; showcasing lyrical dexterity and skill; raps that are gritty, hungry and pure in form (even higher levels of blasphemy if Luda were to have ghost written it). On another note, you gotta love hearing that “Rick Ross did his verse in one take”… BAWSE. Keep it trill, Premo.
