Your boy Brandon is back making people uncomfortable again, but this time with less cooking. Sorry for the delay on posting, but Lil B‘s newest video release for “Unchain Me” really needs to be addressed. First of all, dude clearly enjoyed his RESPECT. shoot for our fall issue, since B is once again taking to the rocks and shores of northern California sans shirt, albeit with a little less elegance in this video. “Unchain Me” comes off of I’m Gay, which doesn’t make any sense because Lil B is adamant that I’m Gay was only a mixtape, so why make videos for it months after the fact? And while we’re on the point of questioning the Based God, how did he manage to get the earrings from the fusion saga of Dragonball Z?
I’m really starting to miss the days when Lil B was still comfortable being funny. He remains ridiculous, but he’s trying so hard to be conventional that it’s not really okay to laugh–the more appropriate reaction is just to look away. “I’m the God MC like Hova”? Naw, son, that ain’t you.
