Honestly, if you spend any time on Hip-Hop blogs and like good rapping, this post title should be enough to get you listening. But, hell, while I’m here, a few words. I’m a supporter of both Black Milk and Danny Brown, the former one of the best rapping producers (and one of the only prominent post-Dilla true schoolers who doesn’t make beats that sound like creaky Dilla retreads or bad Flying Lotus impersonations) and the latter one of the most exciting rappers currently working. Their only previous collaboration that I know of, “Black and Brown” from Black Milk’s stellar Album of the Year and also included on the EP, was an excellent, epic slice of symphonic boom bap. The rest of the EP doesn’t stray too far from that formula (though none of it is quite as stadium ready), which in this case is a pretty good thing.
