Childish Gambino is back with some new fire: yesterday, the rapper also known as comedian/actor/everything else Donald Glover dropped the single “Bonfire” on Hot 97. It’s below and it brings the usual Gambino sound: frenetic flow, upbeat production, and crazy one-liners. Is he still skirting the line between legitimacy and novelty? With lines like “I do my name like Princess Di”, I think the answer is out there for all to see. Still, dude can spit, and somebody has to keep the wordplay game going with Wayne struggling so mightily. The album Camp will be out this fall.
