We first told you about Pharrell‘s new business a few weeks ago, and now we have more details. The artist talked to Rap-Up TV about his ventures in the liquor business.
“I looked at the market, I looked at the holes out there and it felt like indulgence and women were the two things that were being neglected,” he told Rap-Up TV. “So what I decided to do was design a drink that made sense for women that everybody could enjoy, but women knew it was for them.”
And that drink is Qream liquor, a vodka-based, ice cream-flavored beverage that Pharrell launched in Beverly Hills last night. He made the drink specific to women by reducing the number of calories.
However, is this really what Pharrell should be focusing on? The last 10 seconds of the interview mention Pharrell’s work with Tyler, the Creator, Pusha T, and Frank Ocean, but that’s after talking about his drink for a minute-and-a-half.
So many artists now look to other businesses to push forward their other ventures: Bad Meets Evil paired up with Converse to create limited edition shoes; Lil Wayne is looking to start his own clothing line; now Pharrell has developed his own liquor?
