I Support Consequence, & I’m Not Buying "Watch the Throne"

Consequence is on a crusade against Kanye, and he seems to be the only person who’s taken seriously this whole concept of a throne that must be watched:

Every person in this world has a purpose and a destiny. There a select few who are destined for greatness. I think this YouTube video is brilliant in its audacity. Clearly, Ye’s unilateral methodology can ruin the career/ego of an artist with a billionth of his clout. And I’ve always thought Don C looks evil. Though Cons’s mission is absolutely ineffective, if you actually put yourself in his shoes, you’ll see he has a legitimate reason to be put off, à la Cornel West and Barack Obama.

However, I’ve never checked for Consequence, in all honesty. Never was a fan of his use-the-titular-word(s)-to-death flow.

Have you seen Kanye and Jay’s ridiculously unfair and probably illegal release deal with Best Buy and iTunes? I won’t be buying Watch the Throne, though I’m excited as hell for it to leak. Besides, does anyone else feel “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” got old real fast? I have a feeling something similar will happen with WtT — of course it will be an amazing album and sell millions, but how much iPod longevity can it really have when there’s so much left-field rap to be explored these days?
