Yes, that’s Los Angeles Lakers center Andrew Bynum in the ring. Desperate times call for desperate measures, but it sure is a shame to think we may be without football and basketball if things stay on the same course. Nevertheless, we’ve got to make the best of a bad situation, which is exactly what NFL and NBA players are trying to do. Not really sure who Bynum can call on to spar, but god bless him for trying.
On the flip side, a motley crew of NFLers took to the internet to at least have some fun with this lockout. Ray Lewis, Tony Gonzalez, Shawne Merriman and others got together for this Field of Dreams spoof with Taylor Lautner. Not sure how Ray Lewis managed to be even more menacing clad in all-white (check him out at the 1:05 mark), but that’s why he plays football. Stay strong America, we’ve got a serious stake in this business too.
