Earlier today, we told you about Blu‘s controversial piece at the “Draw the line” festival in Campobasso, Italy. Well, in the art world, things move quickly, and the debate has already died down. Already, we have some new pieces to gawk at and admire.
The festival will open in its entirety in September, with over 100 artists participating, but several have already gotten started on the walls in the city. Here are some of the first arrivals.
Up above, we have PixelPancho‘s work. Looks like a parade of some sort, but if I’m not mistaken, all of the people/animals involved are…robots? Except for those skulls on the platform in the middle. Those are definitely human skulls. Dark…
Next up: Roa.
Simple enough. Some vultures feasting on a carcass. But what animal is that? And the mutilation is pretty gruesome too. Look at those guts!
Not sure if the reptile is eating the little duck or playing with it… I swear they’re both laughing though.
I’m interested to see what the rest of the artists come up with! There’s plenty of time until the actual unveiling though…
