A graffiti mural on the wall of Clarks headquarters in Street, England sent street art enthusiasts a buzz as rumors spread that the shoe company flew in guerrilla artist Banksy to adorn the building with some original work. While some believe the piece bears all the markings of a Banksy original, the committee which authenticates the artist’s works says it is someone emulating his well-known style. In recent years, there has been an explosion of Banksy imitations, and we can seemingly add the Clarks mural to the lot of them.
