Rapper Talib Kweli, Hip-Hop band The Roots and MoveOn.org are working together to launch a major economic campaign in New York City tonight (June 23rd). The campaign, called “Rebuild the Dream,” aims to “protect and expand America’s middle class.”
“While big banks and other major corporations are once again thriving, countless Americans continue to face high unemployment, low wages, home foreclosures and little hope about their economic future,” a MoveOn.org rep told AllHipHop.com in a statement.
Shepherd Fairey, Van Jones, and filmmaker/actor Forest Whitaker will join in on the campaign.
