Coming this July, graphic artist JJ Villard will release a line of t-shirts as part of the 2011 Stussy Summer Collection.
Villard draws his inspiration from 80’s pop culture and horror films, and has used his sketchbook art to augment his work with Stussy. His penchant for pens, pencils and markers in lieu of computer generated images has allowed him to transfer the emotion laden work of his sketchbook art to clothing. Villard, who has worked on Hollywood films such as Shrek the Third and Monsters vs. Aliens, is a graduate of the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts). He currently works at Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim where his creativity is allowed to roam freely.
