The series of “Burning Bridges” photographs, shot by Tim Barber, feature the NYC BridgeRunners, a group of urban runners who use the Brooklyn, Manhattan and Williamsburg Bridges as their race courses. The images, commissioned by Nike, show athletes wearing a fall and holiday 2010 Nike Sportswear collection inspired by Athletics West, a legendary running club from the 1970s. A show of the two-day shoot is on display at Nike Bowery Stadium, a community space with events and programming dictated by the sporting calendar, at 276 Bowery (East Houston); (212) 925-0300; Nikestadiums.com.
