A documentary by French videophile turned street artist Thierry Guetta, starring the muffled silhouette of notorious counterculture terror Banksy begins showing in selected cities across the US on April 16th. Says Guetta’s Wikipedia page:
The film explains that Guetta promised to document the world of street art in a film, but that the resultant attempt at editing was so poor that Banksy took over the project, urging Guetta to make art instead. So, in a role reversal, the film becomes the tale of Guetta’s journey from filmmaker to street art sensation.
This is sure to be a cult classic.
