Misha B is hard at work on her upcoming EP, ROOM303, but although she’s been relatively quiet about what to expect, she’s broken her silence with the release of her cover of Kendrick Lamar’s “Swimming Pools (Drank).” About the project, she says, “I’ve chosen the song “Swimming Pools” by my favourite lyricist of today, Mr. Kendrick Lamar. This is me vybzing with some of the BoomSquad in the comfort of my own home. Totally raw, fun and imperfect.” The thought may sound a little nerve-racking on paper but, rest assured, her powerhouse vocals and self-assured attitude provide a pleasing contrast with the backing from her guitarist and beat boxer.
