Snoop Dogg is back at it again, but now he’s focusing on endorsements. He put together a music video as an ad for Blast, an alcoholic beverage marketed by Colt 45.
The product has drawn the ire of many consumers who worry about the product’s alcohol content. The drink undoubtedly bares a striking resemblance to Four Loko, another line of alcoholic beverages that received criticism and was banned for its combination of caffeine and alcohol. Many naysayers argue that the product presents an inherent danger in one 23-ounce serving (12 % alcohol content). Additionally, some worry that the new drink targets younger audiences by pairing the message with a recognizable hip hop icon. Nevertheless, only time will tell how long Blast will last.
