If you’re a music junkie… then here’s your dose.
Radiohead released their latest single titled “Burn The Witch,” along with a music video for the eager masses on May 3rd. The smooth and suggestive track features Thom Yorke‘s vocals, Jonny Greenwood‘s strings, and Philip Selway‘s drum work. The song is off the band’s forthcoming ninth studio album (no word on a release date yet).
After a five-year-hiatus, the band is back to satisfy fans palettes with this thought-provoking single. There’s obviously some association with politics here and it’s being aired out. In the video, clay figurines are used to depict the story of a picture-perfect town named “Model Village” that partakes in strange ceremonies. By all means the citizens of this village dictates what’s acceptable to them. With this in mind, the lyrics to this song has the perfect tone which fuses with the video’s concept.
Consider the lyrics:
“Loose talk around tables/ Abandon all reason/ Avoid all eye contact/ Do not react/ Shoot the messenger/ This is a low-flying panic attack,” he sings.
The band definitely knows how to make a major comeback and ruffle some feathers along the way. Whether this song is your cup of tea or not, it’s still worth giving it a listen.
