Issa Gold, one half (and often argued to be the better half) of the still-rising, tripped-out Underachievers, has just dropped us a first glimpse at a solo career. The Butterfly in this tape’s title seems to be a woman and partner-in-trip who Issa‘s been exploring the universe with. The strain in the young MC’s voice makes for a convincingly stressed, thoughtful romantic. The tape is far from stressful though–you can be assured a safe “journey” with this EP in your speakers.
