Miguel is a singer, song writer and producer from Los Angeles, California. He started singing at the age of 13 and worked his way to his first record deal in 2007. In 2010, Miguel released his first studio album, All I Want Is You, which is now labeled “a slept on classic.” After a record label change, the singer dropped Kaleidoscope Dream, his second studio album, which was followed up by his third, Wildheart. Although Miguel has worked with some of the top artists in the music industry such as J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Usher and more, many fans feel he doesn’t get the recognition he deserves. With his fourth album, fans were given a new version of the artist they had never heard before.

War and Leisure is a sexual, psychedelic album with less digital funk and more strumming guitars. The melodic performance given on the project creates the debate that this album is his best work to date. Assists from Rick Ross, Kali Uchis and of course Travis Scott on leading single “Sky Walker,” gave War and Leisure the last of the key components needed to create a complete masterpiece.

Miguel is now on the road with Kendrick Lamar’s newest label mate, SiR, who is also off the release of an incredible new project, November. The War and Leisure tour is making a stop at College Street Music Hall in New Haven, CT and RESPECT will be there to bring you full coverage of the event.
