Fans of the Sci-Fi series, Resident Evil, were treated to a surprise today as Resident Evil: The Final Chapter dropped itss first trailer. The film stars Milla Jovovich, Shawn Roberts, Ruby Rose, Ali Larter, Iain Glen and more.
In the final chapter of this series Alice (Jovovich) must return to “The Hive” at the request of “The Red Queen played by Jovovich’s daughter Ever Jovovich. In this trailer we see The Red Queen helping Alice when a mutant tries to attack her. It looks like these two will be teaming up in hopes of saving humanity from the apocalypse. Can Alice really trust her?
The opening scene of this trailer tracks Alice driving her motorcycle under a bridge and cuts to an establishing shot of the Raccoon City sign with three zombies hanging from it. We then are shown the utter destruction that is the city as Alice rides through her old stomping grounds to the soundtrack of Paradise City by Guns N’ Roses.
Guns blazing, knifes swinging, booby-traps, explosions and hand to hand combat take up the remainder of the trailer. We get this really awesome shot of Jovovich hanging from a rope like an acrobat, firing and killing members of The Umbrella Corporation. We also catch glimpses of the new mutants Alice and crew will face. Some have three arms and others can fly. The trailer closes on a glimpse of the battle between Alice and Dr. Alexander Isaacs, finishing with Alice’s signature two gun shot at her target.
A quick IMDB search brings up this gem as well:
A much older Alice. Does this mean we will see a significant time jump somewhere in the film? Is this actually Alice or is it another one of her clones? Guess we will have to wait until January 27th to find out.
Check out the trailer for, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, above and get excited for when it hits theaters January 27th, 2017.
