Back in December 2014, Rihanna reached out to her biggest fans in Paris, via Twitter asking them to meet in Trocodero Square. She ended up being bum-rushed by people in front of the Eiffel Tower, including by paparazzi. Even though she smiled through the uncomfortable yet joyful agony, Rihanna relives that meet-up in her new video for “Goodnight Gotham,” a bonus track off ANTI.
“This is one of the craziest things I’ve ever done,” says Rihanna. As she embraced her fans, running towards them, taking pictures with them, they literally ambushed her, at one point, she was even lifted off of the ground so everyone could see her. Actions like this, is why her fan base is so huge. The average artist isn’t risking their physical health just to please their fans, but Rihanna did. This should be an example to other artist in the industry, that your fans come first! Check out the visual for “Goodnight Gotham” above. Its a must see!
