The King of the South, T.I. returns with new music. The southern rapper recruited Dr. Dre for his new single “Dope.” The new track features a sample from Aaliyah‘s 2001 hit song “Rock the Boat,” and features an appearance from Marsha Ambrosias as well. It’s odd that Dr. Dre and not Timbaland is producing a track that features the late Aaliyah, but oh well.
“Dope” will serve as the leading single to Tip‘s upcoming tenth album, Dime Trap, that he’ll be releasing through his label Grand Hustle, and distributed through Roc Nation. The project is still without an official release date, but you can expect the video any moment now. On Friday, T.I. teased his fans with the video that will drop on Tidal. The video has cameos from Big Sean, Andre 300, Nelly, Killer Mike and more.
