EDEN is the 12-track debut solo project by Ivy Sole. The Charlotte native & Philly resident is a study in duality. Balancing singing and rapping, as well as fluctuating between soul samples and indie production, EDEN provides a rich soundscape that takes you Ivy’s proverbial garden. Featuring production from CS~W, Xander Chief, J. Roosevelt, and Ivy herself, EDEN is a journey through the concept of paradise lost and coming to terms with it.
Ivy Sole is a multidisciplinary artist from Charlotte, NC, who now resides in Philadelphia after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania. Her primary medium is music, specifically Hip-Hop. Using a production style reminiscent of boom bap’s ‘hey day’ with a twist, she combines her love of storytelling, indie rock, and soul to create a familiar, yet distinct style all her own. In addition to her solo work, she also makes music in a collective known as Indigold, whose Home EP is the first of the group’s releases. Check out her debut album ‘EDEN’ here at RESPECT. Mag.
