Since the release of Life Of Pablo buzz about new Kanye West music has been everywhere, thanks to Mr.West himself. Last week we got the title of his next album Turbo Grafx 16. Earlier this week, we saw photos of him in the studio presumably cooking up something nice. Most recently, Kanye took to Twitter to let us know that a “new project with 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne dropping this Friday.” Although the tweet may get many hype, it does not definitively tell us if West is referring to a collaborative effort concerning all three of them or if he’s talking about 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne’s project ColleGrove. The latter is probably more likely.
But then again this information is coming from someone who changed his album name three times, and then decided that the album was never going to go on sale. Either way this Friday will be a good one (pun fully intended). Until then be sure to check out 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne’s “Rolls Royce Weather Everyday,” which they performed on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The track has a home on ColleGrove.
