When you think of the Cleveland music scene and who’s at the forefront of it, the first names that probably come to mind these days are KiD CuDi and Machine Gun Kelly, who has been singlehandedly carrying the city on his back for quite some time, now. What people seldom think about, however, is the artists who have, in a sense, paved the way for what is happening now; artists like King Chip, Ray Jr., and the subject of this post, Young Shank.

In his new video for “Trust”, Shank turns up a bit, but the real message here is how even those who are supposed to be the closest to you, can turn suspect when money is involved, as he belts out lines like, “You can’t even trust ya mama sometimes, when it got to do wit’ money!”

As a person who has been rocking with Young Shank since his Trap Orientation mixtape, it’s good to see that he’s still making music. Watch “Trust”, below.
