XIUHTEZCATL pronounced (shoe-tess-caht) is out here working hard and proving that he’s a young and indigenous rapper/activist who’s ready for anything that comes his way. He was just in Washington D.C. for the ZERO hour YOUTH MARCH where he was the keynote speaker and performed his music but now he’s making headlines with his new release BROKEN.

Aside from his activism, and because of it, Xiuhtezcatl is becoming renowned as a rapper who is touring the country this summer, working with his friend  Shailene Woodly among other young creatives and putting out an EP called BROKEN ahead is his anticipated LP in late fall.

“Hip Hop has always been a tool to create change. And, our generation needs artists that are going to defy limits and redefine power. We have to shape culture. “Broken” is the first body of work I’m sharing with the world. It’s the first step in reclaiming my story, and my power as an artist in a broken world. Written to connect and inspire my generation.”

Xiuhtezcatl is bringing a refreshing and eclectic sound to hip-hop and his new EP is filled with exquisite tracks. It gives us a great taste of all that he has in store. Stream the project below!
