From “Coffee” to “Flesh,” Miguel is constantly reminding us that he’s an artist to be reckoned with. Along with putting out his album, he also decided to put out a statement within particular mention to Frank Ocean. (who’s album we’ve been waiting on for almost 3 years) During the Sunday Times interview Miguel stated, “I wouldn’t say we were friends. To be completely honest- and no disrespect to anyone- I genuinely believe that I make better music, all the way around.” Pause. If you were alive when this statement got put out you know that Twitter had a field day with it. Sure, all artists should be confident in their work, but saying anything in reference to Frank probably wasn’t the smartest move. According to Rolling Stone, Frank is set to release his follow up album to the classic “Channel Orange“ (which everyone is still playing the life out of) sometime this month. Fortunately for Miguel he decided to clear the air before things got too crazy by saying, “There’s no need to compare apples and oranges.” It’s definitely not confirmed if Miguel will ever top what he did on the breathtaking “Kaleidoscope Dream” and even more unclear if Frank Ocean will slay on his upcoming and forever anticipated album. If we’ve learned anything from these two, we know that nothing is ever promised. For instance when Frank Ocean got the Grammy for Best Urban Contemporary Album instead of Miguel in 2012. Guess there’s only room for one of these artists this summer. Who do you think will have the better album? Let us know by commenting below!

Staying in his own lane; Miguel has formed a strong foundation in the industry with a unique flow, that never fails to move listeners in a new a type of way. The distinctive tone makes his sounds incomparable to additional artists, and with a strong fan base, the talented emcee is only on the rise.

With the upcoming album Wildheart set for release June 29th, fans wont be waiting too long; and can enjoy the exclusive tracks being teased online in the meantime.

The Joints; “Going to Hell,” “Flesh,” and “Face the Sun” have recently surfaced across social platforms, allowing day 1’s into the theme behind the upcoming work. And if this wasn’t enough, Miguel has just announced that he will be hitting the road for a North American tour which reflects the highly anticipated album at its finest.

Miguel returns with his signature, sensual sound and erotica with the teaser video to “Coffee”, which was originally released last December on his three track EP, NWA.HollywoodDreams.Coffee. If that wasn’t enough for you, fans were in for a surprise earlier this week when Miguel dropped a new version featuring Wale, who he last teamed up with for the 2011 hit, “Lotus Flower Bomb”.

This short 30 second teaser features no Wale though, but rather an artfully placed, leather jacket and jewelry clad Miguel on a motorcycle, backed by cerebral images of clouds, galaxies and stardust. Check it out below and get ready for Miguel’s third studio album, WILDHEART dropping June 30th.
