VNCHY returns with a new track titled “Owens”

After liberating EP NEVERLAND: 001A_0315, VNCHY releases his latest single titled “Owens” which is named after the high fashion brand Rick Owens. You catch VNCHY rapping about stunting in his designer kicks on this record. The song has a militant feel to it and VNCHY uses the song to explain his self-motivated intentions.

This is what the Canadian rapper had to say about the song to Noisey:

“Owens is a certified anthem. A battle cry if you will that evokes the spirit of materialism,” says VNCHY on the song, “As much as I do this for my people the intent is very much selfish at the core. It’s that selfishness that keeps me up at night…keeps me focused.”

VNCHY Delivers “Broke Dreams” Music Video

“Broke Dreams” is 19-year-old Ottawa-based rapper VNCHY‘s one of the best videos so far. The mysterious visual is directed by KidStudio, whose credits include The Weeknd’s “King of the Fall.” The video fits in with the theme of the song perfectly. It is shot mostly at night time intervened with foggy forest scenes. Lookout for him this year as he is gearing up to drop several EPs and possibly his debut album.

VNCHY is gearing up for the release of his debut EP, Neverland, and the 19-year-old rapper lets loose the second single from the project. Born in the Congo, and currently residing in Ottawa, VNCHY has “Broke Dreams”, and reflects on his upbringing over the Prezident Jeff-produced beat. The Neverland EP is slated for a July release. Introducing Canadian artist VNCHY‘s first official single “Godlevel”. To be precise VNCHY is from Ottawa which is the captial of Canada. Being one of the very few from his city, VNCHY brings a unique, dark and gloomy sound to the scene. The song shedds light on the sturggle of “making it” in the music industry. The delivery is almost rugged but forces you to tune in. This is off his upcoming project Neverland that is set to drop later this year. This song is just a hint of what is to come from the Ottawa native.
