Rapper-producer, Vice Soulectric has been steadily grinding the past few years, both to put his hometown of Lorain, Ohio on the map and to cement his placement in the rap game. And he’s getting closer to accomplishing those goals with the release of his slick new visuals for “NoTomorrow,” a soul-sampling, celebratory banger.

Directed by fellow Ohioan Ced Lynch, the video depicts a day in the life of Soulectric as it pertains to his creative process, including chopping up samples on his MPC and hitting the booth to record his bars. It captures the message of living life to its fullest, because for an artist, that means working and refining your craft until there really is no tomorrow. That feeling is further driven home through the opening dedication to Soulectric’s late family membersTheresa Tillman and Ezra Gatewood, who passed away last year.

“No Tomorrow” stems from Vice’s latest project, Vice For President 2, which is out now on all major digital retailers and streaming platforms. The LP includes guest features from Talib Kweli, Skyzoo, and Rapper Big Pooh, among others, and boasts production by 9th Wonder on the project’s closer, “Respect the Legends” which features King Magnetic. Give VFP2 a stream right here in its entirety, courtesy of RESPECT.—stay woke!

Ohio emcee/producer Vice Souletric rounds up Talib Kweli, G. Huff and Will Blaze to collaboratively paint his own production credit – 4+ minutes of blunt honesty. Shouldn’t all hip-hop be honest anyway? What’s offered here just happens to be a bit more necessary in 2016, while living in one of the craziest, most selfish time periods surrounded by injustice and assassination. “Return of the Black Man” is a shot of hope for any black man struggling right now and experiencing any drop of mistreatment, all the while offering a crash course on being a black male in America from first hand experiences for those still blind.

Though music is only one of many mediums to relay information on such issues, we hope it raises that much more awareness to those listening. Aside from that, it’s good music. The music is what brings us here. The message is what keeps us here.

Vice’s forthcoming ‘Vice For President 2: There’s No Tomorrow Til You Wake Up’ is set to be released on 2/26 via United Grind (Vice’s own imprint). If this single echoes what the LP will offer in total, this is something special. Just mark the date – you will not be disappointed. Enjoy the single. Be kind to somebody today. Peace and love!
