How did your collaboration with producer, Velous, come together? Describe the process of working and writing together.
It’s always great working with new producers because you get so many new sounds out of it and I love the process. This was a new sound for me and it came out magically.”

Rolling Loud has tons of acts secured, with only three women performing. How does it feel being one of the only few selected for the festival? Do you feel your SXSW performance prepared you for this large event?
It’s a blessing in itself to be on that stage with all of those amazing names, I’ve been working so hard and I feel like this is the chance for me to show so many more people what I’m capable of.”

SlipNSlide has been quiet in the industry, but there’s rumors Trina and Trick, are coming back with a new album. How is it being on a label with two legends re-emerging? Will you be featured on their project?
Trick and Trina are extremely supportive they’ve been supportive from the beginning and I love the fact that I’m on a label with such an amazing artists. They’ve been cooking up a lot so when it comes to me, making an appearance on the album, you’ve got to wait and find out.”

“Something Else” sounds like a summer time hit, it sounds more R&B compared to your previous singles. If you had to pick a Hip-Hop artist to remix the track, who would it be?
Ty Dolla $ign.

Seems like R&B singers have defined lanes for themselves. Kehlani, is the edgy one, many coin Tinashe as a sex symbol, Justine Skye is the socialite – what defines Teenear’s lane?
My goal isn’t to be placed in a specific lane. I want to do it all.

Mani The Mogul, the 23-year-old female rapper/singer with impressive freestyle battle accolades is up next as she makes her official debut of her most recent single “Wired Up” featuring Multi-Grammy Nominated producer, Velous.  

Energetic and authentically talented, Mani emerges on the scene with unparalleled freestyle skills. A rarity these days for both men and women, Mani is sure to set a new standard for female MC’s.

About Mani:

The 23-year-old rapper-singer discovered her infatuation with music at a young age with the influence of her parents; listening to the likes of Teddy Pendergrass, Anita Baker and Freddy Jackson. Not your average millennial girl next door. Mani began singing and rapping at the age of 6, while also discovering artists of today such as Missy Elliott, Lauryn Hill, and her biggest inspiration, DMX. Mani spent a stint in SUNY Buffalo State, where she nurtured her creativity and performance skills. Being away from home enabled her to conquer her fear of performing in front of strangers and crowds. As she developed her skills, Mani went on to perform at some of New York City’s most prestigious venues, including 106 & Park’s “Freestyle Friday”, SOB, and Santos Party House just to name a few.

She continued this success by becoming one of the headlining acts of the Deans List Tour, performing at various colleges throughout the northeast and also winning second place on Chris Gotti’s Add Ventures Music platform. Having released her first full-length project, The Leo Tape, in 2015, Mani The Mogul is ready to take things up several notches with her forthcoming project, Say No Mas, which is slated for release in 2017.

After Kanye West’s Summer ’14 cover interview from GQ, he finally debuts the official version of his most talked about track “All Day” at the BRIT Awards 2015. His beautiful wife, Kim Kardashian West, introduces her husband before the live performance, followed by West jumping out on stage with an entourage of 50 some odd people and two flame-throwers, dressed in all black everything. Theophilus London and Allan Kingdom joined West onstage, while Travis Scott appears on the song as well. Throughout the performance, everybody is in awe and gets excited, including the West’s new family friend, Taylor Swift.

Produced by French Montana and Velous, “All Day” is the fourth song Kanye has released from his upcoming album. According to Rolling Stone, his album will be released in a surprise fashion, similar to Drake’s recent mixtape and Beyonce’s self-titled visual album.
