Big Sean is no stranger to crossover success. This time he teams up with Adam Levine and the guys of Maroon 5 for the remix of their new single “Maps.” The G.O.O.D. Music rapper lends a quick 16 in the opening verse to give it that hip-hop flair. The track is their first single off their upcoming album V which drops on September 2nd. Get into the remix below.

Killing jokes aside, this video is really creepy,  maybe even bordering on scary. Between the “Sin City” type vibe, the Mutante sample, and the levitating ghost lady at 0:54, this homemade horror show proves that Captain Murphy fans are not only dedicated and talented, but also a bit demented…in a good way. “This was a fan made video so good I had to make it official,” he told SPIN. Los Angeles producer Flying Lotus, who spends half of his time as his rapping alter ego Captain Murphy also added that fans should be on the lookout for his upcoming project “V”, which is set to drop this fall.

Taking out the competition this week is Mayback Music Group with Self Made Vol. 2, the surefire banger. Pop the CD in your car and take a ride as you listen to the smooth sounds of Maybach O. Lil Scrappy is back on the scene with his new album The Grustle. He’s been away for a while, but is ready to make a new statement with his album out tomorrow. XV is also set to release The Awesome EP, his first EP off Warners Bros. He just released his free mixtape Popular Culture few weeks ago, but that definitely isn’t stopping his from keeping the music coming.

On the mixtape circuit, Driicky Graham and Fred the Godson are both slated for releases. Driicky takes us to Swag School for the DJ Ill Will hosted mistape Ya Gotta Start Somewhere. After inking his deal with eOne, Fred the Godson is giving us some new music with his new mixtape Gordo Frederico dropping tomorrow.
