Hodgy Beats solo EP, Untitled 2, drops tomorrow. In theory, it’s a bit odd (no pun intended) to imagine Hodgy without his MellowHype counterpart Left Brain, but “Years” assures us that all is well. Rapping over an atmospheric instrumental that pushes forward at a mesmerizing adagio pace, Hodgy asks, “Where do you see yourself in a couple of years?” Whether or not the question is directed at himself or toward the listener is unclear, but it is clear that Hodgy knows the future is something to be concerned about.
