Before I get to the point of this post, I must say….Power‘s last episode was an absolute mindf***. I haven’t been this floored from great TV since The Wire. Even as he’s on top with his small-screen hustle, 50 Cent is still keeping his foot on your neck in the music world, too.

Case-in-point: Uncle Murda recently dropped of his new single (and visual for) “Get The Strap,” named after 50’s now-infamous catchphrase. In addition to the G-Unit head honcho, we also see that enemies-turned-friends Casanova and 6ix9ine are also on the record, making for one of the biggest posse cuts from New York City this year. Also noted: this was the video shoot where this happened, so there’s that.

“Feel Good” is the sweltering new summer jam from burgeoning New York singer-songwriter Joe Amo, who delivers his smooth vocals alongside some filthy bars from Brooklyn’s own Uncle Murda.

It may be early on in the season, but it’s safe to say that Amo is having one hell of a summer. In addition to this latest single, he recently dropped another killer track, “Girlfriend,” featuring another BK stalwart, Maino. Whereas that tune had more of a ballad-type feel to it, “Feel Good” is a far more sensual and bass-heavy joint from the rising artist.

The trunk-rattling production from Ty Fyffe is the perfect backdrop for Amo and Murda to flex their talents, as it seamlessly blends the vibes you’d want from an R&B/Rap banger. And while the emcee may command your attention with his sexually explicit opening verse, Amo and his vocal talents are what makes “Feel Good” resonate as a certified smash.

A lost interview of Brooklyn, East New York G-Unit rapper Uncle Murda on DJ KaySlay’s Shade45 Radio Show was recently exposed (via youtube) where he and fellow manager Hood, of ManHood Entertainment spoke of the labels founding artist Cashmere, now known as BK Cashmere. Starting the interview off, the two began by claiming the artist Cashmere was “finished”. Not too many know the truth behind the music and the labels downfall but many remember the peak of ManHood and Cashmere.

After hearing the interview BK Cashmere has decided to respond in classic hiphop fashion with a dis record titled “Murda”.

BK starts the (6 minute) diss track on a classic 50cent track and mentions how Murda now signed to 50 used to diss 50cent himself. He holds no punches going in on how Murda was ran out his own hood, to how Murda rode off the hype he started with ManHood, to being signed and dropped by DefJam/ROCAFELLA Records, and questions why he would diss r&b artist K Michellle and much more.

It wouldn’t be a proper summer without a series of warm-weather bangers dropping out of the sky to lace our playlists. And the latest track to fit that bill is producer/deejay, Infamous DJ Haze’s  “I Love NY,” a fittingly titled track that shows love to the city that never sleeps by enlisting some of its finest emcees. 

In addition to rising artist, Dax MPIRE, it features lively appearances by New York bruisers Sheek Louch (of The Lox and D-Block) and Uncle Murda. The two Hip-Hop vets flex their rhyming muscles across the super-hype instrumental, which interestingly enough flips a familiar sample used to show love to the opposite coast. That’s right: it’s the very same Joe Cocker flip made famous on 2Pac and Dr. Dre’s mid-’90s classic, “California Love.”

Infamous DJ Haze has thoroughly updated it, though, with a modern sound brimming with huge drums and oozing with swagger. At the same time, he’s also remained true to what made “California Love” such a summer staple. That means “I Love NY” absolutely slaps and features a hook that’ll stay embedded in your brain for days. Good luck not singing along the second time that chorus hits; it’s an earworm for sure. “I Love NY” is now available for stream below.

Today, he releases the official video for “Rap Up 2015.” Murda touches on everything that happened in 2015 from the coming of Caitlyn Jenner, Akon’s successful effort to bring electricity to Africa, the church shooting in South Carolina, the presidential race to Lamar Odom smoking crack, Chinx’s death, making a record with Future in the past, Tyga’s alleged affair with a transsexual and Kobe Bryant’s retirement letter.
