Making waves in the underground Los Angeles rap scene, once you hear Trip Phontaine, you’ll completely understand why.

Originally from Dallas, TX, Trip came to California to play division 1 hoops. The hoop dreams took a back seat after a few bad decisions and life realizations and a life of creativity and art grabbed him, he has yet to look back since. A good lyricist who prides himself on being able to make “complete songs,” you can hear his Texas hip-hop influences have blended in perfectly with the west coast lifestyle he has been living. Trip has toured and shared the stage with numerous notable artists. Starting with Underground Gatekeepers POUYA, Fat –Nick and Young Simmie as well as mainstream acts such as Goldlink, OG Maco, Smoke DZA, Wiz Khalifa, and Juicy J and fit in just fine in both arenas.

Trip recorded his new single to his next project AUDIOTRIP$ “Mike Jack” in Corey Feldman’s studio (long time friend of Michael’s as well as 90’s movie star) after seeing all of Jackson’s replica jackets used as decoration in Corey’s house.  Peep the visual above and feel free to let us know your thoughts.
