Anyone who’s ever been to SXSW knows how difficult it is to find a decent crash pad. So this year in Austin, Treble took over Indras Awarehouse  and turned it into a “musician hotel” where 35 emerging artists lived, created music together, and forged long-lasting relationships with each other.

The guests were a mix of buzzworthy artists with different backgrounds, talents and personalities, including Che Lingo (a red hot MC from southwest London) Alice Phoebe Lou (a south African singer songwriter currently tearing up the Berlin music scene) Topaz Jones (one of New York’s most promising up-and-coming rappers) and Sam Blakelock (kiwi jazz guitarist and founder of Pickup.) ORG, a Brooklyn Based artist collective helped staff and run the activation throughout the week while Jagermeister, Warsteiner, Diet Coke, and Creem Magazine supported the activation.

“Housing has always been a major issue for artists who migrate to the festival every year,” says CEO and founder, Matt Bond. “Demand is insanely high and most hotels are usually very expensive and difficult to book. Our goal was to turn that painpoint into a positive by creating a safespace for artists to access the people, opportunities and community they need to get the most out of the festival.”

In addition to offering housing, Treble programmed a flurry of shows, providing their community with gigs throughout the week. Shows included their popular Treble Tuesdays Showcase,, a Creem Magazine event, and Diet Coke’s House of Because throughout the week.
