I gotta be honest: ever since the classic album Barter 6 (yes, classic, despite the terrible title), Young Thug has chosen to deliver sporadic, hit-or-miss releases over the past few years…he’s also helped to launch the successful careers of other artists (ex. Gunna, Lil Keed). Now, it looks like he’s ready to return to form as an amazing, other-worldly artist in his own right.

Yesterday, the Atlanta star gifted his fans with a new single titled “The London,” which features assistance from spotlight thief J. Cole and frequent collaborator Travis Scott. The T-Minus-produced cut is definitely one of the hardest singles from Thugger to date, and could very well be 2019’s official Summer anthem.

Below, you can check out the black-and-white, dreamworld-esque clip for The Weeknd-assisted “Wake Up,” which was directed by actor Jonah Hill and sees Scott literally floating throughout a mansion in what looks like the outcome of a big party.

At the end of April, Game Of Thrones delivered a ‘music inspired by’ soundtrack (titled For The Throne) that features many of your favorite artists: A$AP Rocky, Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Peep, Joey BADA$$ and more alongside some of Pop’s current stars.

One of the compilation’s lead cuts was SZA, The Weeknd and Travis Scott‘s collaboration “Power Of Power,” which has received a cold, dark (read: perfect for Game Of Thrones) visual courtesy of Anthony Mandler, bringing together the seven kingdoms of Westeros — and plenty of in-show footage — for fans to enjoy.

After an apparent short delay (in the wake of Nipsey Hussle‘s passing), ScHoolboy Q follows up “Numb Numb Juice” with a new, uh… pre-visual (?) for “CHopstix,” which features Travis Scott. The clip sees a fairly-hidden Q surrounded by a group of ballerinas, which only tells me that the forthcoming clip to follow will be different from what we’re used to seeing.

“Thank you for your admission to Astroworld.” Houston rapper, Travis Scott had an outstanding year in 2018. He dropped one of the biggest albums of the year, Astroworld, and curated the sound track to NBA’s 2K19. The success of Astroworld also brought him across the country to host his first arena-sized tour with support by Sheck Wes, Trippie Redd and Gunna. As the tour was coming to a close, Scott announced a second leg of the tour where he would visit more cities around the USA. Since launching the trek on Nov. 8, 2018 in Baltimore, MD, Travis has grossed $34.3 million and sold 485,659 tickets across the tour’s first 32 dates.

Technical difficulties prevented the “Goosebumps” rapper from playing a few venues during the first leg of the tour. Scott assured fans the shows were not cancelled but will be rescheduled to a later date. Those venues were then added to the second leg of the tour. Included in those cities was Hartford, Connecticut where we would see how astronomical Astroworld really is.

La Flame is easily one of the greatest performers of our generation. Every show from past to present flows with overwhelming energy that never gets old. The stage presence he brings simply can not be matched by any other artist.

2 stages stare each other down from each side of the arena. Between them is a mob of screaming fans and surrounding the room are fans who chose to rage from their seats. Fireworks, smoke and flames shoot from each stage throughout the night. Visually, the main attraction is the over-head rollercoaster that travels between the 2 stages. Some lucky fans get to ride along side Travis while he performs. The show closes out with 5x platinum selling single “Sicko Mode” and an eruption of fire works. There are no noticeable changes, if any, between the first and second tour runs. Maybe a slight tweak on the song list he performs at most.

Travis Scott continues to push the bar with visual and visual post-Astroworld. His latest from the album is for “Can’t Say,” which features Don Toliver and sees cinematic direction from Nathalie Canguilhem…the clip is filled with dark, cryptic imagery and Travis and crew ride bikes through what looks like Gotham City year 4000. Also, this is apparently Saint Laurent promo, so there’s that.

UK music chameleon James Blake is mere hours from the release of his new album Assume Form, his official follow-up to 2016’s The Colour In Anything. As a last-minute treat, fans get to check out a track from the project titled “Mile High,” a genre-bending collaboration with Metro Boomin and Travis Scott (NOTE: Scott worked with Blake before on the ASTROWORLD cut, “STOP TRYING TO BE GOD“).
