This one has a pretty dope backstory: Amsterdam “coffee” shop owner Jack The Plug connected with music engineer Sean D to create the compilation project Plug Talk, which features the many artists that have passed through his establishment. It’s a melding of both the US and UK/Europe, 13 tracks features appearances from YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Tory Lanez, Dappy, Roddy Ricch, Chip, Lil Baby, WSTRN, Gunna, 67 and loads more. Idris Elba Presents: The Yardie Mixtape

Those that were already hip to DJ Driis aren’t surprised, but Idris Elba continues to wow his more current Hollywood fanbase with dope tunes to vibe and party to. Following his recent drop, the Kranium and Tanika-assisted “Stand By Me,” and his appearance on Wiley‘s “Boasty” (alongside Sean Paul and Stefflon Don) comes The Yardie Mixtape, which is inspired by the Idris-directed movie of the same name and sees appearances from Chip, Newham Generals, Toddla T, Cadenza and more.

The Mike Mihail-directed clip sees Wolf and Travis performing in front of a violent crowd…eventually, we see the Juiceman sporting a mink coat in the middle of a mosh pit. Pure rockstar s***, as Yelawolf himself explained — also revealing additional musicians on the record (source):

Producing this record was a head trip… There are so many talented artists on the song, Travis Barker, Juicy J, [Red Hot Chili Peppers‘] Flea on bass, Chance McCoy on fiddle, DJ Klever and Bones Owens all came together to make this crazy ass song. I don’t even know how it happened; I’m just rolling with the madness.

Blink-182 has been out of the spotlight for quite a while now. However, that doesn’t mean that they haven’t been recording some awesome music in the studio. The trio which consists of Mark Hoppus (vocalist), Travis Barker (drummer) and new group member Matt Skiba (vocalist), who replaces founding guitarist Tom DeLonge. That is to say fans have been questioning DeLonge’s decision for quitting. Some speculate that the reason for him bailing out of the band was due to boredom. To put it differently, he wanted to venture into other projects aside from music. It’s important to realize that the band will continue to rock out with or without him. Moving along, the artwork is animated and on the dark side of the spectrum. The image displays a skeleton man behind the wheel, and a woman riding shotgun displaying the band’s logo tatted on her arm. An obvious homage to the band.

Not to mention, the album title might seem like a no-brainer, but there was a lot of scrambling going on. Many ideas for the title were tossed around by the band members. Barker said the upcoming album was almost called ‘No Future’ or ‘Nude Erection.’ Hoppus also dropped his two cents into the bucket and suggested the title “OBGYN-Kenobi.” It’s obvious that these guys haven’t lost their youthfully twisted sense of humor! After receiving word that Rich The Kid will drop a new mixtape which will be sometime around Memorial Day Weekend.  The Quality Control rapper and Atlanta native lets loose the tapes first official offering named ‘Not Sorry‘; the production stems from an unlikely source being Travis Barker.

To accompany the release of his first single off the new project, Rich The Kid also drops a new visual treatment for ‘Quit Playin‘, which was a standout cut from his project ‘Rich Than Famous’.
