Earlier this week, we discovered that J.Cole was soon to reveal Forest Hills Drive: Homecoming Special. The colorful documentary is set to walk us through the highly publicized tour, with a central focus on Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Premiering January 9th at 10pm EST, we expect the lyricist to add life to this adventure and of course share words of inspiration along the way. In fact, the teaser validates exactly that, with reflective thoughts bringing light to the entire picture.

“My dream for Fayetteville is that people here can wake up and realize that anything you want is possible if you want it.”

“Yo, appreciate the moment, even if it’s just this five seconds on stage. Just feel this moment really.”

Pusha T’s “King Push: Darkest Before Dawn” receives the visual accompaniment with the first official film trailer. Directed by Kid Art, “DBD” has the ominous feel of a hustlers’ ambition, documenting the triumph and pitfalls of life in the streets. “Darkest Before Dawn” indirectly exemplifies Pusha T’s biopic of sorts, starring himself and “Power” actor Rotimi. King Push has historically been one of the better storytellers in the culture’s history, but hey, a congruent film can only make the story that much more real.

Logic‘s debut album Under Pressure may have set standards, however the newly announced Sophomore LP is likely to take the lead. Carrying the title The Incredible True Story, we expect this production to definitely live up to its name.

We may have been awaiting a concrete project for quite some time now, but Logic certainly makes the anticipation worthwhile. Having already gained the attention of fans, and of course the respect of many artists, this next move will only increase numbers.

Just yesterday, Tinashe proclaimed the “end of an era” by dropping her short film, All In Good Time. Not even 24 hours later, she’s back with the trailer for her second album, Joyride, which is scheduled for a November release. Christmas has come early with the second official teaser to JJ Abrams’ “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” If you’re a Star Wars fan like I am (no, I don’t dress up opening weekend) which I’m sure the majority of human beings are, Episode VII is a seminal moment for fans of the force. The trailer depicts elements from it’s predecessor, “Return Of The Jedi,” with clips of a crashed Star Destroyer, mangled Darth Vader mask, and a quick shot of Han Solo (yes, Harrison Ford is signed on) telling Chewbacca “We’re Home.” The trailer(s) have offered little insight to the actual plot-line, but spoilers it has revealed are a mix of new and old characters, incredible CGI, an updated and seemingly stronger band of Storm Trooper alliance, picturesque visuals of the Star Wars planets, and a sequential tie-in to the storylines of the previous six episodes. The movie is scheduled for a December 18th premier. Hope to see you in line. (With or without a costume)
