This weekend, Trae decided to release a powerful new single and visual titled “Nipsey,” which in turn will benefit the fallen rapper’s family:

“I understand that everything that happens in life ain’t meant for us to always agree with or understand, so I’ma finally speak to lil bro. All proceeds from purchasing or streaming the record will go to the trust fund set up by his family and team. Stream as much as you feel, it will al go to where it belongs. I’m only here to do my part like I know he would.”

D.R.A.M. may be currently on the road with Kendrick Lamar on the DAMN tour, but that didn’t stop him from tapping Cardi B to put out a banging remix to “Cute.”

The track, which originally appears on his Big Baby D.R.A.M. album features a guest verse from the Bronx bombshell as she spits a killer flow showing that her style is continuing to improve making her an up and coming monster on the mic.

Delivering the first verse, Cardi spits to a dude that finds “ugly” letting him know that his money more than makes up for it.

“You think I’m cute, but I think you ugly/trust me it’s cool, I use you for money,” she begins. She later continues, bragging about her newfound wealth. “I’m a dog I don’t come with no leash/this bitch is ballin just look at my piece/whippin the foreign I’m bending these streets.”

D.R.A.M. has been keeping the streets flooded with music, besides his most recent banger “Gilligan” featuring A$AP Rocky, D.R.A.M. has been steadily dropping new music including “The Uber Song,” released in June and the video for “Group Thang ( Demo).” In May, he previewed a new collaboration with Blac Youngsta and he’s also featured on Trae Tha Truth’s and the Gorillaz’s new albums.

Cardi B is no stranger to success as well, with her smash hit “Bodak Yellow” ripping the charts and the internet, the 24-year-old has hit No. 49 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week, making it her first charting single.

As the Atlanta market continues to expand its pool of talent, more gems are continuously being discovered. It’s no surprise that Runway Richy is amongst the talented artists surfacing beyond Atlanta’s Hip-Hop scene into the mainstream. He’s not shying away from acknowledging his successes with the release of “Made It Happen” featuring Trae Tha Truth.

The Decatur, GA native kicked off 2016 with a bang, releasing his well received project “China Cafeteria,” hosted by comedian DC Young Fly. The tape’s success was a trial by fire of sorts. After watching a beat that was originally his end up in the hands of 2 Chainz and becoming the breakaway hit “Watch Out,” Richy later suffered depilating injuries in a terrible car accident just three days after the release of “China Cafeteria.” Having to learn how to walk again, the emerging star stayed committed to his mission, performing at SXSW 2016 on crutches.

Orlando artist Kim drew praises from the likes of T.I. and Trae Tha Truth back in the summer when he released a song called “Ali” which paid homage to late great boxer, Muhammad Ali. Those praises were also mixed with praises for Kim for honoring the Orlando nightclub shooting victims. Kim has a vocal ability like no other; in his new release “Let Me Pray” his range is mixed with melodic singing while he quickly flips the script with rapid-fire raps in between. Equally showing that the artist definitely has what it takes to take the industry and world by storm.

Kim has a great love for his craft as indicated in his statement below.

“Anyone can tell you about my loyalty and the awareness I look to bring with what I do and what I seek, it’s not for money, or fame. It’s for knowledge, that’s the real power. The more you know, the more aware, the more empowered one is to help the next individual.”

Rising Oakland rapper Yogy, which stands for (You Only Got Yourself) has been creating a lot of buzz for himself lately since the release of his latest project 88Hooligan. Yogy has also received praise from a variety of other blogs like the Source. Yogy also had recent songs with some of the Bay-area legends from Too $hort, Big Rich, and Kaz Kyzah to produce his well known hits like “Slow Down” and “Its Gettin’ Hot.”

The Bay-area native delivers a brand new banger titled “More Than Ever” featuring Houston’s own Trae Tha Truth. Yogy kicks it off first with his gritty but lyrical flow fueled by self-determination and struggles from his childhood experiences. Followed by Trae Tha Truth spitting a low but heat-seeking verse to add his own swagger to the track. Detroit’s Early Mac teams up with Bizzy Crook and Trae Tha Truth for a lyrical homage to money’s allure with “Big Bank.” The expression “big bank takes little bank” (also the record’s chorus) parallels symbolism between the song’s overt concept and what’s created when two up and coming spitters link with a Houston legend. The continuously rapid drum kicks offer simplistic production for Mac and friends, positioning the spotlight on the rhymes themselves. Earlly Mac came out of the gate with fire and his buzz only seems to be heating up.
