Dreamville’s own, Cozz goes to his home town, Long Beach, CA, for his new video “My Side.” This single is off of his 2016 mixtape, ‘Nothin’ Personal,’ which was released on January 4th.

The video is pretty simple as Cozz dances around and raps in an empty area that looks like a working plant. Afterwards the Long Beach native goes to a barbershop and the visual turns all red. One of the boys in the barbershop chair was Meez, who produced the track. The rapper is showing love to his people that he rides with, as the hooks says “I keep my Gs right by my side/ They keep they piece right in they ride.”

Cozz will be along side with other Dreamville rapper, Bas as they go on the road for the summer long Too High To Riot tour. This tour will also include Ron Gilmore, EarthGang, and The Hics. Make sure you cop your tickets! The tour starts in Miami on June 3rd and will also be in Texas, California and some dates in Canada. There are 26 dates in all, while the final show will take place in NYC on July 13.

If you haven’t heard Cozz latest mixtape, make sure you check it out. The mixtape is equipped with 13 tracks and has guest appearances from Boogie, Freeackrite, & Bas, which Meez did most of the production on.

Bas‘ surprised us all last month when he released a new single titled “Methylone.” The Dreamville signee catches himself in a zone, (as he usually does) delivering bars over a mellow-toned production. Produced by Ron Gilmore, the single serves as the first single off his forthcoming album, Too High To Riot.

Too High To Riot will be available this Friday (March 4.) and serves as the follow up project to Last Winter which Bas released in the spring of 2014. It’s an album that Bas announced on December 4th was completed, and now we wait in anticipation. Bas is an artist that is able to get across a message by using very little extra words, and does it efficiently. J. Cole once stated that that’s why Bas is one of his favorite artists.

Providing “night time” appropriate music, Bas sets himself apart of from other artists. Leaving his voice in a mellow and baritone-like manner, Bas’ message on a track comes across quite easily. Based on the tracks we have heard so far, it wouldn’t be a surprise to hear lyrics being the narrator for a cohesive project. But we shall see when the 4th arrives.

Last Winter featured the songs “Lit” featuring J. Cole and “Golden Goals.”

Now with Bas kicking into album-mode with “Night Job,” “Clouds Never Get Old,” and “Matches.” “Clouds Never Get Old” is produced Ogee Handz and “Matches” is produced by Ron Gilmore.
