XXL gets up close and personal with the newly reunited G-Unit for a new documentary wrapped around the group’s return to music. Directed by Kellen Dengler, the documentary goes in-depth with 50 Cent, Young Buck, Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, and new member Kidd Kidd, discussing everything from the breakup, to the reunion at Summer Jam and new music. Game has started an online petition to get the gang back together, but 50 Cent says a G-Unit reunion is unlikely. Tony Yayo says the group was better broke. Young Buck is in the slammer and Lloyd Banks — well, he’s not saying anything.

G-Unit as we used to know it may be buried, but maybe we’ll get an unearthing at some point in the future. Maybe even with Jayceon involved. Stranger things have happened.

It’s been abundantly clear over the past year or so that Lloyd Banks and 50 Cent have a strained relationship. Banks has not been heard on any of 50’s recent projects and was notably absent from his SXSW set. Now, for the first time, 50 speaks on the subject in a little depth on Big Boy’s Neighborhood.

“I haven’t spoken to [Lloyd] Banks in nine months,” said 50. “This isn’t the first time this has happened. He’s a baby.”

50 goes on to say that Banks doesn’t deal with situations head-on and simply avoids them. He believes this stems from Banks getting rich at such a young age. 50 maintains that he speaks to Banks’ lawyers to make sure everything is okay, but has had no contact with his partner in rhyme. 50 Cent continues to pump out videos for his mix tape, The Big 10, with yet another one that brings smooth delivery and an even more reclined-beat.  Featuring Tony Yayo, “Nah, Nah, Nah” goes in the goodie-bag, for sure. Much respect to 50 for grinding it out–with five music videos for a mix ape that has only been out for three weeks, we’d say SALUTE to our good dude.
