TM88 Recruits Lil Uzi Vert for “Slayerr”

I’m loving how these producers are dropping heat left and right for our Summer playlists. The latest is 808 Mafia beatsmith TM88, who has a new cut on his hands titled “Slayerr,” which features assistance from ~~when-will-his-album-finally-drop~~ Lil Uzi Vert.

Given that TM88 already created magic for Lil Uzi Vert with “XO Tour Llif3” (like, literally the biggest hit of Uzi’s career, but put a pin on that), it only makes sense for the two to drop off another heater titled “Mood,” which sees additional production from the equally iconic Southside and Supah Mario. That can be enjoyed below.

Interestingly enough, TM88 has apparently not been paid for his efforts with the five-times-platinum “Llif3,” and he’s pretty pissed about it. It also doesn’t help that Atlantic has reportedly been avoiding having to pay producers by calling albums mixtapes or street albums. Very Trump-esque, I say in regards to that bulls***.

Young Thug x Thrasher Tees are Back in Stores! [Pictures]

Earlier this year, Brooklyn-based music brand Honeymoon released a batch of bootleg tees that combined Young Thug and Thrasher Magazine. After the immense success of its first bootleg T-shirt, the music-clothing label now returns with an iteration in black.

Honeymoon, which is a subsidiary of Young Thug’s 300 Entertainment record label, also returned with the original Thugger bootleg design in white, and both feature the word “Thugger” in Thrasher’s now-iconic font with “Atlanta, Georgia” written underneath.

In conjunction with the release, Honeymoon has unveiled a new lookbook highlighting the tees, starring models Ama Elsesser, Janie Hurley, and Thalia Besson. The 35mm editorial—titled “Best Friend” after Young Thug’s hit song— showcases the new colorway and serves as a powerful commentary on friendship and camaraderie.

Using a private tennis court in the Hills as a backdrop, the photo set features our new favorite girl gang rocking the tees with distressed Levi’s and a Supreme bomber. As with the first drop, this release is also extremely limited.

In addition to dropping the limited edition collaboration tees, Thugger has also been rumored to be back in the studio working on a new EP with producer TM88. According to published reports, the two have been working on working on new music during Thugger’s 2016 tour.

Photographer Walter Brady braced fans and fueled rumors about the EP collaboration with a photo of TM88 posted to Instagram on October 17th (and has since been deleted) captioned “Posted, about to shoot TM & thugs EP cover. 3 in the morning type sh*t. Slight work.”

TM88 contributed production to four of Young Thug’s tracks off the album Jeffery and recently collaborated with both Thugger and Lil Yachty on a track called “Been Through A lot.”

MistaRogers recently started an unveiling of new music with the heavy-hitting release of the Jadakiss-assisted single, “I Wanna Be The Man,” which came with knocking production from TM88. Upon listening to the Ohio rapper’s latest work, it’s evident the music comes infused with an extra degree of confidence, showcasing a formidable awareness that has given him determination to raise his stock to the next level.

As he readies his 8-track TM88-produced EP, Expensive Taste, today he doubles down with the second single from the project, unloading more heat with the release of “Ice T.” With a title that pays homage to an authentic OG like “Ice T” it’s important to maintain that sentiment and that’s exactly what MistaRogers does, bringing his hustler’s ambition to life while never raising any questions about the veracity of his journey. Young Thug Announces New “Jeffery” Mixtape

Young Thug took to instagram yesterday to announce the title of another new project fans can look forward to in the coming future.

Thug has been making the most of 2016 with two projects (I’m Up and Slime Season 3) already on the board. In the form of an instagram video showing off a diamond studded watch, chain and several rings, the Atlanta rapper revealed another project in the works titled Jeffery (see below). The title appears to be a reference to Thugs government name as he was born Jeffery Lamar Williams.

So far, Young Thug has also announced two other projects set to drop some time in 2016, titled I Came From Nothing 4 and his highly anticipated debut album, Hy!£UN35.

While a brand new mixtape from Young Thug is exciting enough news on its own, it has now been confirmed that the upcoming body of work will be produced by none other than TM88 (see below). This should prove to be a fantastic decision and offer some much needed cohesion not often found on a Young Thug tape.

No date has been given for the mixtape’s release, however Thugger has promised that its indeed “on the way” and shared a clip of some new music as a teaser.

Wiz Khalifa Updates Fans on Upcoming Album

Wiz Khalifa took to yesterday earlier today to announce that not only is new music coming our way this week, but the Taylor Gang Or Die rapper is also finishing up a new album.

For Wiz Khalifa, 2016 has been quite the productive year having released two projects already. One being a solo effort with KHALIFA, and the next a collaborative joint titled Rude Awakening with Juicy J and production from TM88.

In a series of tweets this afternoon Wiz Khalifa revealed to fans that the studio album he’s been hinting at for some time now, is closer to fruition than we think. Theres still no release date for the project however expect that sometime soon along with the cover art. The new finished album is rumored to be titled rolling papers 2. if was sticks with this title it should be a follow-up to the rappers 2011 studio album.

So far this year, khalifa’s been loosely dropping songs without much of a plan. With a brand new album around the corner, its logical to assume the projects first single should be what Khalifa was alluding too when he tweeted earlier today that fans can expect new material this week. (check out the tweets below)
