For her latest, Tinashe delivers a new single titled “Like I Used To,” which — judging from the subject matter and basketball references — is a pretty clear message to ex-boyfriend and NBA player Ben Simmons, who (reportedly) ditched Tinashe for Kendall Jenner. I’m shaking my head at Ben as I type this.

The broke love story doesn’t just sit on wax, either. Last week, news outlets revealed that Simmons may or may not see his ex as a stalker following their break-up, to which Tinashe has responded:

Young Thug – Hear No Evil

So, we thought that we wouldn’t hear any music from Young Thug this year, as he previously stated he would go silent in honor of his deaf brother. Now, he bestows that same honor by dropping off the three-song EP Hear No Evil, which sees additional appearances from Nicki Minaj, 21 Savage and Lil Uzi Vert (production comes courtesy of Southside, Rex Kudo, DJ Spinz and Charlie Handsome).

Tinashe – Joyride

This album is a long-time coming.

In a perfect world, Tinashe‘s sophomore third album would have come out years ago. Four years after the release of her debut Aquarius (and three years after it was announced), Tinashe finally liberates her official sophomore LP Joyride. The project is led by the singles “No Drama,” “Me So Bad” and “Faded Love,” with additional appearances from Ty Dolla $ign, French Montana, Offset, Future and Little Dragon.

Carnage – Battered Bruised & Bloody

Guatemala-to-L.A. producer Carnage spent last year dropping some dope collab projects with the likes of Young Thug and G-Eazy (along other notable connections). Now, he brings forth his new album Battered Bruised & Bloody, his official follow-up to 2015’s Papi Gordo. This go-round, the EDM super DJ seems to dive further into the Hip-Hop realm, working with artists like Lil Pump, Deko, Mac Miller, MadeInTYO, Lil B, Young Troy, Migos, Nessly and more. ‘Turn up’ Summer music.

Smokepurpp & Murda Beatz – Bless Yo Trap

For his latest, Floridian emcee Smokepurpp connects with Hip-hop super-producer Murda Beatz for a 10-track project titled Bless Yo Trap. The hard-hitting release also sees appearances from A$AP Ferg, Lil Yachty and Offset (no Lil Pump?).

In the height of anticipation for her sophomore album Joyride, Tinashe has released a new mixtape titled Nightride. Just yesterday, the R&B singer took to Twitter to announce the drop of her new project with a handwritten note to her fans.

Following the release of her debut album Aquarius back in 2014, Tinashe has made sure to keep fans interested by dropping tracks like “Company” and “Ride of Your Life”. Both of these previously released songs happen to be featured on Nightride along with fan-favorite “Party Favors” (minus Young Thug‘s verse). The tape consists of 15 tracks in total and is now available on majority of the music streaming sites.

Tinashe has also put out a six-minute short film to accompany her newly released project. Check out the visual below and purchase Nightride here.
