]]> kool ad tight If there’s one word that doesn’t at all describe the latest single from Kool A.D.‘s Work OK, it would have to be “Tight.” Flows as elastic and strange as a yoga teacher on acid come by the dozen here. First, there is the sometimes grating but always entertaining and deadpan hilarious A.D. himself, dropping some blink-and-you-miss-it gems (“The kid get laid, thigh, breast, biscuit, mm, delicious…Slave name, Victor.”) Next comes the greasy, deranged Lakutis, turning what would be ridiculous words on paper–“Style on a mothafucka bitch, Sarah Palin”–into knockout punches. His aesthetic is reason alone to watch this video. We don’t blame girls for making “the cross with their fingers” when they see him. For the anchor, we have a man who epitomizes grime and debauchery, eXquire, who is (of course) disgusting–“It’s raining AIDS blood!”–and captivating–“Release the krakken!”At the end of it all, eXquire sums it up nicely: “this verse was some bullshit.” It was; so were the song and video. They were all bullshit–fantastically awful, hilarious, insane, fantastic.
